I have used Avene Lip Balm for several years now and have found this product to be most beneficial for sore dry lips.
The product is easy to apply giving protection and coverage from the harsh elements, at the same time can be used over the top of a lipstick without changing the colour.
Infact all of Avene products maintain foundation/lipstick colour. The products do not change the tones of foundations/lipsticks.
I just love the product and always keep one in my handbag, one at my computer and one in the kitchen for easy access.
