What happens if I am not home when my parcel is delivered?


Chemist Direct has chosen Australia Post registered mail as its chosen delivery provider. If you are not home when Australia Post attempts delivery, you will receive a notice advising you of the attempted delivery. Australia Post will keep the parcel for you at the nearest Australia Post Office until you can pick it up. International delivery processes will depend on your country’s postal system. Q. Is my order confidential?
A. Yes. We guarantee not to provide any customer information to third parties, except to Australia Post in order for successful delivery of your parcel. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.

I am looking for a particular product, but do not see it on your product catalogue, can you still help me get it?

A. Yes, the products on our website are only what are in our normal range. We are happy to source other products for you, please email us at and let us know what you are looking for.

Q. I’ve changed my mind, how do I cancel my order?

A. Please email or call us right away. As we process orders promptly, your order may have already been sent. If your order has already been sent, you can post it back to us unopened and in original condition for a full refund. You will however be obliged to pay for all postage costs. Q. Is it safe to use a credit card on your site?

A. Yes, we are a secure site and use the latest encryption technologies (SSL 128bit) to protect your personal and credit card details. If, however, you are still not convinced, you are more than welcome to telephone, fax or mail your credit card details to us or pay via Bpay.

Q. Who owns Chemist Direct and where is it located?

A. Chemist Direct is owned by Ron de Leeuw. Mr. de Leeuw has over 40 years of retail pharmacy experience. You can visit him in his store at 99 Spring Street, Bondi Junction, NSW.

Q. Why are Chemist Direct’s prices so much cheaper than retail pharmacies?

A. Our business model is based on high turnover and low margins, which enables us to deliver lower prices than a suburban retail pharmacy. As our turnover is higher we can negotiate lower prices from our suppliers which we are able to pass on to you.

Q.What happens if an item I order is not in stock?

A. As our product range includes over 12,000 products it is not always possible to have all products in stock. We endeavour to flag products in our online catalogue when they are temporarily out of stock, however occasionally products may be out of stock. We will contact you by phone or email to seek your instructions – either to cancel the product, wait for the product to come back into stock or provide an alternative product.
