Use as a pre-shampoo treatment 1-2 times per week. Part hair at scalp as best as you can. Apply a small amount to damp or wet scalp and gently massage in small circular motions. Rinse well, then shampoo and condition as normal

Texture is Too Fine....
Unfortunately, I hated this scalp scrub. The formula and how it cleans my scalp is fantastic. I have quite oily hair and this helps to get into my scalp and give it a deep clean however my issue with it is how fine the scrubbing particles are. It has a similar texture to sand which isn't ideal in my scalp scrubs.
I also found it really hard to wash out and found myself the next day feeling like I had sand in my hair even though I had vigorously washed my hair. Overall, great formula but they really need to get the scrub texture down pat as it's horrible!!
This is not at all a reflection of the brand as I love other A'kin products.

ok so heres the thing. i had never used a manual physical expholiant on my scalp before but LOVED the idea of it as i love them elsewhere on my body so why not on my scalp right? well listen, this is by no means the fault of the product as its actually a very nice scrub but ive discovered that i dont like all that grit all up in my hair. i aint about it. so ive used the scrub elsewhere on my body, legs and feet mainly and its great haha! it does wash out of your hair well if you make sure to rince properly so there was no issues there, i think its just s sensory thing for me!

Got caught in hair, don’t recommend
I really love the concept of this product but I did not enjoy the experience while using. I found the product got really badly caught in the strands of my hair so I couldn’t properly apply it to my scalp to exfoliate. I tried this on different occasions with hair that was slightly damp and again when it was really wet and I didn’t notice a difference. After thoroughly washing my hair after I still noticed the exfoliating beads that were caught. The bottle was very easy to use and I loved the smell of it but just didn’t enjoy using. I received a sample of this product to trial and review

Deep Clean
To be honest I have never used a scalp scrub before as I always thought it would be too rough and damaging on my hair.
I was so wrong!!! After shampooing I still noticed my scalp wasn’t completely clean with a few flakes and build up here and there but this scrub removed so much build up from my scalp and left it feeling so clean and fresh!
The scent is very refreshing and beautiful and I love the packaging.
I find it combination with the shampoo and conditioner this works really well.
So you use this as a pre shampoo treatment

Pleasantly surprised
I have an oily scalp that also has some dry flakes, but not dandruff. I hadn't used a scalp scrub prior to trying this one and I was pleasantly surprised! It does take some getting used to, as it feels very gritty and strange getting it into your scalp. BUT I did find a reduction in flakiness and it did definitely help with my greasy looking hair and product build up. You do need to double shampoo after using this to get all the grit out. I found once a week use was good for me. Overall happy customer!

Like a Spa Treatment!
Love the natural looking bottle first of all, then the gentle natural fragrance is so pretty.
I've never used a hair scrub before and although it felt a bit thick and odd at first, once I added some water the mixture was easier to rub into my scalp. You could feel the product build up being gently sloughed away with this gentle although effective scrub. It felt like a special spa treatment!
I'm not sure it reduced the oil after use but I'm not sure anything can with my hair lol.

Gentle yet Effective!
The Deep Clean Scalp Scrub is excellent. I have a flakey scalp and felt like it definitely helped reduce the flakes. It is gentle but still feels like you’re thoroughly clean, nourished and not overly dry. I also found it easier to rinse out compared to other scalp scrubs I used in the past. Don't love
I honestly had such high hopes for this. I have a flaky scalp and do use some products and had been keen to try this. I found it just left the scrubbing agent (salt like product) in my hair that was hard to clear out even with shampooing twice and conditioning. It was difficult to get to the scalp and stuck everywhere but. It doesn't go far either, so it seems a lot is needed to clean properly. I did use on my husband who's head is partially shaved as an exfoliant prior to shaving, but he wasn't a fan either.
