Secret tanning weapon before an event
This product really is liquid gold! I have always used gradual tanners because I’ve been too scared to use an instant one in case A) I look like I should work in a chocolate factory afterwards with a man named Charlie as my boss and B) in case I miss spots and look patchy and uneven. When this product came out, I was so drawn in by the packaging, the fact it was a dry oil which I’m fond of and that it’s instant and develops further over time. I decided this was the perfect instant tanning product for me to try and I’m glad I did. It smells great, was easy to apply and left my olive skin a couple of shades darker before I had an event to go to, so I felt like a golden goddess.

When I used the Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Self Tanning Oil it was truly amazing! The best tan I have ever had, it was so flawless and even. The tan was super easy to apply, no streaks, no dry patches, just beautifully bronzed tan skin. The tan had a great coconut smell which I love, I love how you don't have to wash it off and it definitely does dry in minutes! The tan is super hydrating on my skin and lasted over a week and was still prefect! I love the packaging! Its so classy and I really like the stray bottle! I honestly have nothing bad to say about the tan! It was my holy grail!

Found my Holy Grail tanning product!!
I have only had this a little while but I'm calling it - I have found my HG tanner!! I love dry oils in general and I'm a long time Bondi Sands (dark foam, who's with me?!) user, and I really thought it couldn't get much better, but thanks to Priceline and their 40% off sale I decided to give this a shot. It develops into a gorgeous golden colour, and it has so far lasted (now starting to look patchy) 6 days!! 6!!! And it is wearing off evenly, not in patches. I found it very easy to apply evenly with the BS 'gold' mitt that I got with it. I'm loving this. Admittedly I have only used this in winter so far so it might not be quite deep enough for me in summertime but it will still be on high rotation.

Bondi Sands have the best tanning products! Liquid Gold doesn't disappoint
I have always been a lover of Bondi Sands dark foam, it has always provided me withe the best most natural fake tan ever! So I was very excited to try liquid Gold, after seeing a lot of positive reviews from beauty bloggers. However I trust my BH reviewers over celebrity endorsed products. I used the Liquid Gold one night applying to my whole body, as I usually do with the foam. I didn't really feel like I got the same effect as the foam unfortunately. However, My face was amazing! I had a nice even beautiful glow, like I just came back from holiday ( without damage for sunspots) .

Really is GOLD
I really love liquid gold, it is definitely my holy grail of fake tans.
Easy to apply following the instructions. Rub it in with the mitt (i prefer Le tan mitt) like you would a moisturizer.
My skin is super white so i have no problem seeing where I've missed as the spray is tinted. The dry oil just soaks into your skin like a lovely body oil and smells divine. No orange tones at all.
Dries so quickly, can get dressed straight after and even sleep on white sheets with no transfer at all.<br />I never get streaks or dry patches as long as I've properly prepped my skin. (dry body scrub in the shower, light moisturiser on elbows, knees, feet and heels)
Great price, i get 2 - 3 full applications per bottle.

Easy To Apply, Natural Tan
I'm a fan of Bondi Sands products so I was excited to try this new product.
I am pale and so I was cautious at first in case I went orange.
I applied the oil with the mitt on clean dry skin and found it spreads really well and very evenly. It was easy to ensure it wasn't streaky. I applied one coat mid afternoon, then another before I went to bed and woke looking naturally bronzed.
I also love that I do not feel as sticky after application as I would using the normal cream tanner. That is always my least favourite aspect of fake tanning.
In addition, it doesn't seem to have ruined off on my bedsheets and after 4 days I haven't needed to apply any more to top up the colour.
Very happy with the product so far.

ORANGE!
I was so excited to use this product.
I went out specifically to buy it, I got home and couldn't wait to try it, had a shower, exfoliated... The usual before tan tricks.
I'm fair but I have a olive undertoned skin. I put it on carefully - so I thought anyway... Being very careful to blend it all it nicely as far as I could see in house lighting at night.
The smell was a little strong but it wasn't bad, quite coconutty! Great! I was going to be a beautiful and bronzed :)
Then I woke up. I was orange! I was patchy.
I was devastated! The middle of an Australian summer and I couldn't hide it (or I'd risk dying of heat exhaustion :P)
Safe to say I was devastated, I had to go to work, I looked like an Oompa Loompa :(

If you're fair skinned and scared of self tan, try this
So far this is the only drugstore self tanner I have tried that is halfway decent. I am pretty fair skinned.... usually the lightest or second lightest shade of foundation in the range.
I don't mind the scent, there is something mildly intoxicating about it at first - though it does smell quite strong particularly in your armpits. And the smell doesn't really go away until the tan has really degraded and worn off.
I want to find a perfume that plays into the scent of this tan. I'm thinking maybe Kai from Mecca (a lovely gardenia flower scent - very islandy and Hawaiian).

Pure Gold
Another win for Bondi Sands!
This product is fantastic for topping up tan or for using as a face tan. The colour is more medium than dark but is natural and sunkissed.
The application is quick and easy with the super handy spray bottle packaging. I usually spray some onto a tanning mitt and use all over.
Putting a small amount with some of your favourite moisturiser also works well for a sunkissed glow especially on your face.
The scent as always is bondi sands signature coconut which is pleasent and refreshing.
I always have a bottle o this on hand especially in summer!

Prefer Bondi sands foam
I always use the dark Bondi sands mousse, and love it, so I thought I would try the liquid gold as I always put it on before bed and the liquid gold claims that it won't rub off onto clothing (or sheets).
I noticed that it doesn't colour my sheets as much as the foam, however there was a small stain after using liquid gold. My white clothing wasn't tanned after I had showered either. I did notice, like many other reviews that it was hard to tell where you had put it on so it is worth taking the time to rub it in well.
I also noticed that it gave me acne on my face a little on my back, so the second time I haven't used it on my face (I always wear foundation). Once the bottle is finished I will go back to using the foam..

The only tanning product i have ever loved
I absolutely love this tanner. It easy to use, it dries beautifully quickly and the end result colour is superb. I've never found a good fake tanner that looks natural and not orange on me, however this gives and beautiful natural looking glow.
It's not the darkest of tan however i am very pale so it works well for me.
Application is simple as you spray straight onto the skin however it can be difficult to keep track of where you have done as there is no colour residue left on the skin.
Also doesn't smell like chemicals, instead you smell like a pina colada.

Good Colour, Kind of Tricky to Apply
I've fake tanned every week for over 4 years now so I'm pretty good with fake tan applications. I usually use mousses or fake tans with colour guides however. I loved the colour, quick dry properties and the packaging was nice and worked well. The only thing was that I ended up with a fair few streaks ( I normally may have one on my whole body). I think that if a colour guide was added it would have been easier to apply but can imagine in summer still using this to maintain and top up places where my tan is fading (chest, face, shins.)

Amazing Results
I would and have recommended this to all my friends.
The results are fantastic, especially if you are olive skinned like myself. By putting on one small layer the results are fantastic. The morning after I have applied the fake tan, I am a beautiful bronzed colour.
I have tried several other brands and no other fake tan has given me such a natural looking glow.
The best part about this fake tan is that it is really comfortable to wear whilst developing on your skin. You almost forget that you are wearing fake tan at all.

Streaky and patchy
I really like the concept of this product, a dry oil that also tans, but the execution is not great at all.
There's no guide colour so applying evenly is very tricky, I thought I'd massaged it in using the mitt only to see steaks appear on my arms and legs.
It also takes a while to dry and develop so I had a white spot on each leg where I'd sat with my legs crossed during the day.
The smell is ok and it isn't sticky but it still has that tan smell underneath the coconut and the color isn't as nice as the foam products.

Natural appearance on super fair skin.
I actually really enjoyed using this product to test on my fair skin, the packaging is nice and easy to use with good control over how much product comes out. The scent is slightly over powering after the 8 hours but goes away as soon you shower. Now onto the actual results, I used this with the application mitt which is a fairly easy process except there is no guide colour so I ended up quite patchy at first. This does tend to fade after 2-3 days with exfoliation but there's no way to tell if you leaving spots undone until the tan develops. I would use this again but with caution unless I want a patchy situation. The colour was surprisingly natural on me and didn't have that orange fake tone. Would recommend this to regular tan users and beginners if they were careful.

I love this but it's not for beginners
First of all my favourite thing about this tanner is the colour result you get!
The scent is great, the price is decent and it lasts about the same time as a spray tan. I also really like the fact you can put it on during the day and wash it off waaay later!
There's just one thing. If you're somebody who's new to fake tanning you need to keep in mind that this product develops throughout the day so when you put it on you can't see anything for a while so you have no guide for where you may need to go over or wipe off a bit. That is a good and bad thing depending on your needs. Good because if you need to go out you won't have a deep burnt and shiny look about you! Bad because you don't always know where you might have streaks or missed patches.
Overall tho I do love this and I am a frequent user!

I had high hopes
I had high hopes for this products after seeing it all over instagram. When i first used it i love the ease of application and as it developed the colour. But fast forward 4 or 5 days later when it began to fade it went really patchy and was virtually impossible to scrub off with a tanning mitt. I did nothing different than any other tanning product kept us my moisturizing routine after application but it did not fade well nor come off easier. Its not a product I would reach for again.

Bondi Sands wins all with their tanning products
This product is just as amazing as the rest of Bondi Sands products, if not even better!<br />It is super convenient and easy to apply!<br />The colour is gives a nice gold tone to the skin (leaving you looking naturally bronzed) which doesn't leave you looking orange. The consistency also makes it difficult to become patchy if you apply it properly.<br />I recommend waiting for it to try before applying another coat so that it has time to settle.<br />Great product!

Liquid bronze sensation
I absolutely love using the bondi sands range. This particular product I bought to try out and see how different it was to the foam I use religiously. This product was so easy to apply I used my mitt to blend it into my skin. Once sprayed on you could see the dark liquid on your skin so you can tell all the areas that are missed. You do have to blend it in a bit more than the foam so my arms were becoming sore. The colour was beautiful I loved it nice and brown.

Iv used better
I really wanted to like this product as I had heard great things about Bondi Sands and this product.
I found that I had to use a lot to see any difference in colour, I even waited for it to develop and still had to do a couple more coats. The spray nosal is hard to used and rather messy, I felt like there was a lot of waste.
Once I got my desired colour it did last a few weeks which was nice, the smell is also bareable compared to other tanning products.

Quick and easy tan
I was already using the Bondi Sands 2 Hour tan but someone recommended this to me as a quick and easy way to tan when you’re in a rush out the door.
What I really like about it is that it is just as easy to apply as a normal tan and you don’t need to do it all over if your in a rush! It looks just as natural and normal 2 tan!
I would recommend that you only use this has a express than and I still use the 2 hour tan for long lasting all over tan.

Easy once you get a routine
I've used the Liquid Gold a few times now and I'm happy with it! It's quick and easy to apply, just apply it part by part and blend it really well to avoid streaking, and make sure to put some moisturizer on knees, elbows and feet before you start. It dries in pretty quickly and has a nice scent at the start but after a while it just gets too much which is annoying... It's still worth a try if you want a tan that doesn't take too much work!

hard to use
Since I absolutely love all of the other Bondi Sands products I was so excited to try this new product that they had brought out.
The first time I used it I didn’t find it great, I put it on before bed and left it overnight. I woke up and I didn’t really seem like I was tanned at all which was a shame because I had heard so many good reviews about it and being so excited after finally getting it after it being so big it was hard to get your hands on.
I applied the oil with the mitt on clean dry skin and found it spreads really well and very evenly.
It was hard to be able to tell where you had applied it since it is a clear liquid and has no colour guide and dries really quickly. You don’t feel as sticky after applying it as the foam sometimes leaves you feeling a bit sticky until you wash it off.
A plus is that it doesn’t transfer onto your bed sheets!

On the fence
I dont know if I love or hate this product as some days this product goes on beautifully and smells delicious and other days it just looks like I have nothing on at all yet I smell like a dirty cheap fake tan to the point my partner complains... This worries me that if my fiance can smell how bad this tan is imagine other people.
Overall I am undecided if I will continue to use this product as ive had both good and bad experiences.

Subtle colour for the price
I saw the liquid gold hype all over Instagram, and as a tanning addict thought I would try it out. I am a mousse kinda girl, and I was hesitant to try this as it is liquid but it felt nice to put on my skin.
There is really no colour guide so it’s hard to tell if it’s applied evenly, and after I left it on over night, the next morning the colour was barely noticeable. I like a dark tan, and this was very very light. Not a fan.

Golden tan
I was looking for a sunless tanner for these miserable Melbourne winter months. Just because its's winter it doesn't mean you can't have golden smooth skin? Right?? What attracted me to this product is, that it's a dry oil spray not a cream or mousse (which can be messy or streaky).. Apply it with a tanning mitt to get the best results.. I can now have coconut scented golden tanned skin all year round.. Worth a try.......

Such a great product!
This tanning product works best on prepped skin - shave your legs and moisturise knees, elbows and hands 12-24 hours before using this product. Before applying ensure that your skin is completely dry and free of oils. Using the mitt to apply, after applying to the major areas in long strokes, apply the residue of the mitt to arms, ankles/feet, knees, back of hands, neck and face for an awesome tan.

A great tanning product for those that are time-poor
I was recently browsing the tanning aisle at Priceline and came across this product. I thought it would be great for me as I have quite dry skin and being an oil I thought it would give me a tan and soothe my dry skin at the same time!
I got it home and was surprised at the spray nozzle. Gave it a shot and found it was not really an oil as such and I didn't find it overly moisturising which was a shame.
This is where the cons ended though! I didn't mind the smell (it wasn't strong) so I could wear it all day at the office without anyone noticing. The tan builds gradually so you can monitor how much of a tan you get. I also love that it doesn't give you obvious (orange) tan hands due to the gradual aspect of this product. It also doesn't come off on your sheets which is awesome!
I really love this product, it will definitely be getting a workout over the coming Summer!

Quick Easy Nice Tan
I brought this product when i was away on holidays and needed a quick fix tan asap
and boy am i glad i did, this product worked wonders within 2 hours i was a nice golden colour and was able to be clothed and fully dressed just 20 minutes after applying, super fast drying, love the consistency and how it is a spray bottle, but don't be fooled it is still as staining on the hands as a normal fake tan, so be sure to use a tanning mitt while applying.
i apply to the skin and then rub in well with the mitt as i found if you spray directly onto the mitt you have to use alot more product.
its non sticky so doesnt feel like you have any tan residue left on the skin
Be careful though, i have used this once and fell asleep with it on, woke in the morning rinsed and i was abit on the orange side, so for the girls who are abit paler be careful how much you use as it will develop

Aussie Liquid Gold!
Firstly I would like to say that Bondi Sands gets a big thumbs up for being an Aussie brand. It is packaged in a brown bottle with a pump action spray and contains 150ml of coconut scented tanning oil. This tan oil is the best smelling tanner around, it doesn't have that distinct tan smell that screams out I am faking it. I really like the smell
It is moisturising and looks great when applied. If you are going out and need a quick little bronze up before you go Liquid Gold will deliver.
To avoid wastage I found it easier to spray it directly onto my skin and then use my mitt to make the application even. I like the range but the pump spray isn't a favourite of mine. It got wet and slippery so my spray hand did get colour on it
The tan natural looking, long wearing and faded evenly so I didn't look patchy which is a huge bonus! Great product I just wish it was a foam.
