Great Everyday Cleanser
I have combination and very problematic skin and so I have tried countless cleansers, but this one is my go to for everyday. I use this to cleanse my face in the morning before I put on makeup and in the evening it is perfect for taking off all of your makeup in one easy go. No need to scrub your face, just wet your face, apply a small amount of the product on your hands, rub gently over face and rinse. I am impressed at how well it removes all my makeup without much effort at all. It doesn't have a scent and it doesn't dry our your skin. This is the perfect no-fuss cleanser!

Great for oily/combination skin!
This facial cleanser is great value for money. The product itself comes in a huge bottle and is very cheap for the amount of product. The consistency of the product is a gel like clear formula and works very well for oily/dirty skin. It is recommended by most doctors for acne and is very effective. Previously I had been using clinique facial cleansers for oily skin, as it was the only other product I had found that got rid of the excess oil and prevented acne, whilst not drying out my skin too much. This product is very similar but has a much more appealing price tag.

Highly fragrant
I bought this for my tween with oily skin as it states on the bottle it is for sensitive skin, however I found it highly fragrant, not great for sensitive skin.

prefer the gentle
i have what i would consider quite oily skin and accidentally bought this cleanser instead of the gentle skin cleanser thinking i had picked up the right one. BUT because i have oily skin, i didn't even realise there was a range for oily skin, so i thought great his would work even better. the consistency is a clear gel like formula, which i was not a fan of compared to the gentle cleanser which was a more of a creamier consistency. i found that my skin felt a little more dry when using this one, so i have kept for a backup and re bought another gentle one.

This cleanser is amazing! It has really balanced my really oily skin. I noticed a difference within a day or two. Using it morning and night it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft without drying or leaving my skin tight.<br />It is really gentle on the face, doesn't foam or lather and just feels so nice to massage in.<br />My only negative is I find the smell quite unpleasant.<br />But the results in oil reduction are amazing!<br />I would definately recommend this to anyone with oily skin!<br />It's affordable too and the big one in the pump lasts ages!!

Great body cleanser
I bought this to use as a body cleanser for body acne and it works well. I usually go for fragrance free as my skin can be sensitive to it but I like the scent and hasn’t caused issues as of yet. Might feel a little drying on the skin if overused so I would recommend using another cleanser mid week or regularly moisturise. This is my experience so it may differ from person to person. I love the simple packaging and big bottle. It is quite affordable as well.
I use on my face occasionally but not ideal as my face acne does not respond well to this cleanser (both types) and probably because my skin is not oily enough due to the use of accutane in the past. I am hoping this cleanser will prevent and treat body acne and keratosis.

Great!
This is a really gentle cleanser - it's not harsh on my skin at all! I find that it cleanses the skin without stripping the natural oils, so it leaves my face feeling smooth and soft. It's a foamy face wash, so it's good for people with oily/combination skin. It doesn't leave any smell after washing the face with it, and the smell of the cleanser itself is quite pleasant. I love the fact that it has a pump, instead of a squeeze bottle, as I feel that it's so much easier to get a good amount of product (instead of an excessive amount) this way.
The only real downside is it may not be strong enough for those with very oily skin. I found that my face would feel oily after applying even minimal moisturiser after I wash my face with this.

REALLY does its job
This product definitely does its job of removing oils. Although I personally do have very oily skin i found this product to be overly stripping. I found that my face would end up even more oilier throughout the day as compensation for all the loss. However don't turn away from this product too soon I reckon a very very good moisturiser would definately help with the results of this product if you want to give it a second chance. I personally have turned towards the cetaphil moisturiser for sensitive skin and found that that works better for me.

My Acne Cure!!
I got this product as part of the Cetaphil Acne Clearing Kit which came with the Daily Facial Moisturiser, Benzyl Perozide and the Oily Skin Cleanser.
With a gel like consistency, this cleanser has a very smooth feel to the skin and does not contain any soap so it does not irritate the skin. After three weeks of application, I realised a change in my skin texture and also my skin is less oily. My acne has improved drastically in combination with the other two products in the kit. It is very affordable for the amount of product that it comes with.

Terrible on skin (old formula was much better)
My partner and I have been using this cleanser for the last 11years and since changing the formula I have noticed my skin go from completely unblemished to acne ridden in a matter of months. This is so disappointing as I previously recommended Cetaphil to all of my friends struggling with Acne as it truly helped me when I was younger to combat my teenage hormonal acne.
Please change the formula back or give the option of choosing between the new and the old formula.
Also the lack of identifying features on the new packaging to state “New Formula” are incredibly misleading as I had purchased this new formula product assuming it was just a branding update, and have since realised the formula is completely different.
Very disappointing.

Great cleaner
this is a totally great cleaner, it makes my skin feel so much more better than my previous - more expensive - one did. Picked this up for around $10 at priceline - but they're having a 15% off sale on now til 23rd may :D<br />Anyway~~~ it is a really good cleanser and i do recommend it for anyone who's tried a bunch of cleansers - like me - and still havnt got the results they wanted, its worth a try (:<br />only thing is, it doesnt foam ): I thought it would have because the back of the bottle mentions something about it foaming...

Made my face red
Purchased one as soon as I ran out with the old formulation. Made the skin on my eyes hurt. Made my face red and hot and so itchy i had to wash my face right away. This has been my go to cleanser for 9 years and i am so upset with the new formulation. I am now checking in with my derma for other products i can switch to

Horrible for sensitive skin
Purchased this for my sensitive skin. Ut is quite perfumed, which is not great. I've used it 3 times now and each time it's caused my skin to break out in rashes. Do not recommend. Very disappointed given Cetaphil is normally a good brand

Gentle, non irritating cleanser
I picked up this cleanser as it was suggested to me by a local pharmacist. My skin is very sensitive and at the time I had a very raised rash due to an allergic reation to another cleanser. She suggested this one. It is a nice product, doesn't foam up very much but does the job. It doesn't have any fragrance and leaves skin clean and fresh.
The only downside is I personally like a bit of fragrance and this just doesn't have any but it's perfect for use when my skin has flared up.

Highly recommended for oily combo skin
A great gentle cleanser that works great for my combination oily/dry skin. The appearance of my pores are greatly reduced and my skin is left hydrated, soft and smooth. This is my go to for double cleansing. I use a cleansing oil to start with in removing makeup, dirt, grime and sweat from the day’s activities, then I use this in removing residue after the first cleanse and exfoliation. Value for money for the amount you get which will last quite a while with daily use.

Excellent basic cleanser for acne prone skin
This cleanser helps keep my skin calm and not irritated. I find that it is far more gentle than most other brand name cleansers and it does help to keep my oily skin at bay.<br />The only issue is the fragrance. It has a mild fragrance however those who are sensitive to fragrances my find this product a bit triggering as the scent can be a bit overpowering, kinda like baby oil. Other than that, this product is just really gentle and effective for just a daily cleanser.

cures my oily skin
This cures my oily skin without drying it out. I love that it comes in a big bottle unlike most cleansers.
I felt the difference in under a week. Some cleansers for oily skin, I find, dry my skin out too much and result in it becoming oilier. I don't have this issue with Cetaphil though. I also use it to cleanse my shoulders and neck which can tend to get some acne and it does the trick, and again because the bottle is huge, I'm not worried about wasting it.

Like breaking up with an old friend
I had been able to rely upon the oily skin cleanser for many years, and my partner's skin improved too after I introduced him to it. Imagine my devastation to see that they've followed the trend and added niacinamide, which can be a huge irritant for some users, and for me it causes blister-like pustules all over my face. This was the one product I didn't have to think too hard about, now I have to go through the whole testing a million cleansers nonsense

Great classic product.
This is a great cleanser for standard, oily skin. I've been using it for years now, and it does the job without causing trouble. It also is affordable, allowing me to purchase higher end treatments if needed, rather than splurging for skin cleansers. This really does the job and is accessible in pretty much any supermarket or chemist. I have tried other cleansers from chemists/beauty stores and they seem to produce the same effect or not work as well.

It is always my go to cleanser
This product is great. I can use it twice a day it does not dry out my skin or cause any breakouts. It removes makeup really well and does not leave a residue on my skin
It lasts a really long time and is great as it comes in a pump container (which helps to control how much you use each time).
I have used this product on and off for about 4 years now and even though I might try different cleaners for a change I will always revert back to this one.

Great
This cleanser is really good, especially if you have sensitive skin. I find it very gentle and not irritating at all. I do have oily, sensitive skin so this is marketed towards me and it's100% effective, but I prefer the normal Cetaphil Cleanser, mostly because I prefer the smell and the texture better, also I find this one a little drying compared to it.
Both are great and I recommend trying both to see which one works best for your skin type.

New Favourite Cleanser!
I don't have very oily skin but this cleanser works great for me. Within a week for using this I could notice that most of my blackheads had disappeared and my skin was looking so much clearer. The cleanser is a clear gel consistency which is easy to apply to the face but it doesn't foam up too much. It has a bit of a weird smell but it is bearable. It also works great at removing make-up and gets pretty much all of it off in one go.

All the reviews I read for this product were great and I was so excited to try it out. Unfortunately, it has done the exact opposite of what it's said to do. My skin has never been oilier in my life, and I have been using this product for almost 2 months now. If there is some unknown extra step to take to make this product more effective, please enlighten me, because from what I've seen this product on no scale lives up to its name.

basic cleanser, nothing special
I bought this hoping it would help with oil control a bit, it didn't. it seems to me this is just a basic cleanser that removes makeup (but you have to wash twice to get it all off), smells funny, and doesn't dry your skin out. maybe I will use this if I find an expensive cream that works wonders and want to save on other cosmetics, in till then I will use something that is aimed at a particular skin issue, of which I have many :\

Fabulous product for oilier skin types!
I tried this cleanser after sampling a number of different acne washes which were supposedly 'gentle'. I completely agree that it effectively removes dirt, oil and keeps pimples at bay but is best for oilier skin types. I have combination/sensitive skin and really liked this product but my skin became too dry after a few weeks' use. Would definitely repurchase this to use as a make up remover followed by the Gentle Skin Cleanser.

Best cleanser for oily skin!
Cetaphil Oily skin cleanser is the ONLY cleanser I can use on my face. I have tried others, with absolutely no success. Cetaphil oily skin cleanser is the only one that keeps my skin at bay and help at not giving me breakouts! It's great at thoroughly cleaning the skin, while not stripping it and over-drying it.
If you experience oily or blemish-prone skin, definitely give this cleanser a go and see if it makes a difference.

Great cleanser for combination skin
I have struggled with combination skin for a while and I have tried many different cleansers which either end up drying my skin out and causing it to become dry and flaky or simply do not leave my face feeling clean or oil free, I have found that this cleanser helps keep my skin balanced and doesn’t give my skin any dry patches or oily areas which is why I live this product, it is also mid-low range pricing and it leases a really long time, I use one small pump every time I wash my face and it lathers really well, unlike other cleansers where you need a lot of product to get a proper lather, which is what makes this product last a while, also like with any skincare product you may start breaking out at first like I did, this just means that the product is working and your pores are opening up, this should clear up within a week-a few weeks depending on your skin

Repeat purchase!
This is the cleanser that I always keep coming back to. I often try out other ones just for fun, but when I just want a product that does exactly what I need it to - I go back to buying this one. Having oily and acne prone skin, I always tend to veer towards gel cleansers and this one is fantastic. Does not strip your skin, but definitely helps with cleaning out the oil and leaving you feeling fresh amd clean.

Fantastic quality
I absolutely love this cleanser.
I have normal - combination/oily skin and I use this once a day to keep any pimples or oil at bay. This is a great cleanser that leaves me feeling smooth, soft and mattified. I love using it with my Foreo Luna mini as well.
I would recommend this to anyone with skin ranging from normal to oily. It has kind of a watery gel consistency and the amount you get is awesome value.
