Directions For Use

Brush thoroughly at least twice a day or as directed by your dental professional. Do not swallow. Rinse with a small amount of water. Not recommended for children 6 years or less. Colgate recommends specially formulated Colgate children's toothpaste. Up to 12 hours of protection against bacteria with 4-weeks continuous use.

For children under 6 years, Colgate recommends specially formulated Colgate children's toothpaste.

Store below 30°C.

It had a distinct spearmint flavour. Initially I thought the flavour was very mild, but after I had used it, I felt even though it was mild it was long lasting. The paste foamed really well in the mouth and the foam lasted the entire 2 minutes that I use my electronic toothbrush. I also tried it with a regular toothbrush as I went away for a weekend and I found that it also foamed easily and the foam was long lasting. After I'd cleaned my teeth, they felt clean and this feeling stayed with me until I ate something.

My main reason is that it actually left a strange taste in my mouth a fair while after. Not sure how to describe it but nevertheless it was not something I think I care to get used to. On a positive note, I love how the tube stands up on it's own but that won't appeal to everyone, especially if you have a toothpaste holder in your bathroom. I also expect this will substantially increase the price too which I'm not prepared to pay much more for toothpaste!

The very first time I used it I actually thought it was ok. However after brushing for my full two minutes I started to notice the mint flavour right at then end. It had that mint burning sensation. I have been using very bland non flavoured tooth pastes for quite some time though so maybe it is more that I'm just not used to it. I can't comment on any of the claims as I haven't been to see my dentist while using it. Overall it is a good toothpaste but not one that I would purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by missfixit8 from great for young and old [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found when using the Colgate Total mint stripe you didn't have to removed the toothpaste from your mouth after awhile because this toothpaste doesn't foam up your mouth plus it doesn't have the bite to it like other toothpaste. It would be great for children who don't like toothpaste with a strong taste. After you have brushed your teeth they feel nice and smooth which seems to last till the next brush, also your mouth seems fresher. Another bonus to this new toothpaste is that that you don't have to put lots of toothpaste on your brush to get a great result. I will be recommending this new toothpaste to family and friends

I prefer the taste of this one as it has a sharper mint taste but it's not the preferred one for the others in our household. It leaves a lovely fresh taste for a long time. I find I don't have to use a mouth wash as often. I would recommend it to others. When I use an electric toothbrush I find it just needs a small amount and it goes a long way. I used to use the pumps which were just wonderful to use but they don't seem to be readily available these days.

There are significant improvements! First the packaging - Love the size and standup tube. Super convenient for travel and everyday use. Second, the taste and mouth texture - The older version often was fresh tasting, but had a slightly chalky mouthfeel. This one feels smooth, leave teeth feeling smooth and fresh, with no residue other than the fresh minty flavour after your brush. I was using the product twice a day (morning and evening) and plan to continue using this after the trial.
