Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flake free hair I have been trialling the DermaVeen Daily Nourish Oatmeal Shampoo for a while now. I have not noticed any dandruff flakes in hair which is a really good and my scalp has not been itchy once, which is amazing. The shampoo comes in a 1L pump bottle which makes it really easy to use. The shampoo is fragrance-free making it chemical free. So, you know what your putting in your hair is safe. To use, pump the desired amount of shampoo into your wet hair and massage it into your scalp and hair and rinse out. Repeat if desired. For me, when I washed my hair with the shampoo, it made my hair feel a little dry and rubbery. But it was fine when I washed my hair with the DermaVeen Daily Nourish Oatmeal Conditioner, my hair felt really soft. It is recommended after using the shampoo, follow it with the conditioner.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Recommended by Drs but not very effective for itchy scalp I had an itchy scalp for years but nothing worked. I tried Dermaveen twice on GPs recommendation that the oatmeal based shampoo would be soothing and non irritating. Unfortunately after a few days my scalp was itchy again both times - years apart trying. I found I have seborrheic dermatitis though from a dermatologist so maybe it is not effective beyond normal dandruff issues. I have thick curly hair and my hair was dry and felt unwashed after using it and the conditioner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice formula I was expecting big things from this shampoo. I used to wash my face with oats when I had bad skin and it was amazing so I thought an oat shampoo would be amazing. Unfortunately I have to say that it did not. First of all, the shampoo is not really scented nicely. It doesn’t smell bad but I am someone who does like a good smelling shampoo. Even if that means strong and artificial. But I guess that is a good thing that there aren’t many artificial things in it. It doesn’t lather up as much as other shampoos and I find it quite hard to spread over my whole head. I find that I am using more than I would for other shampoos. However, it does clean very well. After I rinse twice my hair is left squeaky clean. I find my hair very soft and healthy feeling afterwards. While I think it is good, I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for very sensitive scalps, love it! I have scalp and facial dermatitis that I can't get rid of, no matter what I try. Anti-dandruff shampoos make no difference and gentle shampoos don't improve it. As I need to shampoo my hair every day because it doesn't feel clean if I don't, I have tried a number of very gentle shampoos but often you don't feel like they clean your hair very well. Finally, I have found a very gentle shampoo (and conditioner) that lathers up, feels great and leaves my hair feeling clean and soft (no easy task!). This shampoo is for dry, itchy or sensitive scalp and it certainly doesn't exacerbate my dermatitis. I love that it is soap-free and does not contain lanolin, parabens, dyes or fragrances. In my opinion, this is a fantastic shampoo for very sensitive scalps. The 500ml bottle comes in a pump-pack, which is very handy for the shower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Recommend It’s a great brand and I have used other products but not a shampoo before. It comes in a great pump bottle, it is easy to dispense the shampoo. The shampoo lathers easily but need a bit more than your standard shampoo I felt. It does not have any fragrance and it’s a great product without the nasties. I felt my hair were quite bouncy and the scalp looked healthy as well. Would totally recommend to use the DermaVeen Conditioner as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle cleanse Trialling this was very interesting especially when I saw the 1 litre shampoo I was surprised by how convenient it is to have larger bottles. The pump on the bottle is much more handy for the large size and the packaging is simple and easy to read making it great for people with sensitive scalps looking for it! This shampoo was really different to what I usually use and it took a few times for me to realise I needed to use more than usual to get a small lather because it is soap free it’s much less harsh but also doesn’t feel like it’s removing the oily buildup I get after a couple of days. In saying that I did notice a dry patch I had completely healed while using this and hasn’t come back since. This shampoo also has absolutely no scent which threw me off at first but can be really great for those sensitive to fragrance because there truly is no smell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy Hair from Dermaveen I am so happy with Dermaveens Daily Nourish Shampoo. My hair is now soft and healthy and this shampoo works really well into a lather and no overpowering scent. There is no residue and my hair isn’t left looking greasy because this shampoo washes out well and doesn’t stick to your hair like some other shampoos do. I have sensitive skin and this shampoo by Dermaveen has oatmeal in it so it is safe to use on the whole family. I will continue to use this Shampoo and the conditioner that it is paired with as they both work well as a team together. I have nothing but good things to say about this product and it will be my new bathroom staple for years to come. The bottle size is perfect for me and my family as we go through a lot of shampoo and do this big size is perfect for us. I have long hair and this Shampoo goes a long way. Not much is needed per use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Oatmeal Magic This is surprisingly good for a clinical type product. Its packaging is pretty low key but inside the product was impressive. It smells like cherry licorice and has a nice lather. It contains collodial oatmeal which from past experience is a great moisturiser. My hair looked bouncy and soft with some shine after use. I still had split ends but not as badly as usual. All in all, an excellent and well priced product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good shampoo for sensitive skin! The Dermaveen Oatmeal Shampoo is perfect for sensitive skin and scalp. It doesn't weight the hair down, and leaves the hair feeling soft and nourished. It is scent-free, so doesn't irritate the skin, and the bottle is a generous size! Unlike usual shampoos, the Dermaveen Oatmeal Shampoo doesn't foam up when rubbed into the scalp, which takes some getting used to. But don't stress - it still cleans the hair perfectly!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For those with sensitive skin I am very familiar with the dermaveen brand as my partner has eczema so his skin is very sensitive. So when I tried the product I knew it would be very gentle on my scalp. In comes in a huge massive bottle which will last ages! I like to buy my bottles of shampoo and conditioners in bigger containers too as that usually means it's more cost effective. It comes with a pump which is handy to disperse the right amount of product. For my elbow length hair I used 2 squirts. When trying it I was surprised to find that it doesn't really lather as much as conventional shampoos. I think this is because it's a soap free formula but nonetheless it is not an impediment as it cleans my hair perfectly well. It is also fragrance free for those who aren't a fan of perfumed shampoo, of which there really is not many to choose from! Great product overall, leaves my hair clean and soft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use and made my hair feel soft and easy to manage - I was definitely not expecting it to be as good as it is! I have always used Head and Shoulders for my hair because of its active ingredients that really do help with my dandruff - That being said I had heard of DermaVeen for their body moisturisers and was excited to test out their shampoo to see if it was equally as good as their other products. The instructions for the shampoo was easy to follow and required less work than a lot of more expensive alternatives. I really love that it's organic and uses natural ingredients that are good for me and the environment, which is not something you find in the more expensive salon products. The size was a bit larger than I would normally buy but it's a definitely good value for money. As I have dandruff, my only negative would be that it hasn't really helped with that aspect of my hair but in its entirety, it is something that I would look to purchase again after finishing this bottle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Calms the scalp The DermaVeen Daily Nourish Oatmeal Shampoo comes packaged in a value 1L bottle with easy to use pump applicator. The shampoo has a thin cream gel consistency and no scent, making it a great choice for those with irritated scalps. I found that I needed quite a few pumps of product during each use to be able to properly lather and cleanse the hair and scalp. Even then, this shampoo doesn't lather in the traditional sense. After rinsing, I found that my hair felt a bit weighed down, as if it wasn't properly clean/rinsed out. After drying my hair, I found that my usually dry scalp was definitely calmer and soothed. However, it still felt as though there was a layer of residue left on the hair, making it look oilier/dirtier faster. In between washes, my scalp was less itchy which I really enjoyed but this product didn't give me a fresh or clean feel, which was disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great natural shampoo This is a lovely gentle shampoo for non-colour treated hair, if you have coloured hair you may need to alternate shampoos. Great for a gentle cleanse and it didn’t create any more dandruff! The smell is absolutely devine, it’s silky smooth and lathers well. While it is nice to use I found myself having to alternate with a shampoo specifically for colour-treated hair to counteract the brassy-ness. I would recommend this to people with thin hair but lots of it as well as thick hair. I am unsure how this would work on natural hair but I can attest it works well with the accompanying conditioner. This shampoo does leave the hair very clean but in a way that after washing but before conditioning it leaves a very “squeaky” texture to the hair. Highly recommend a deep conditioning conditioner with this shampoo. It also comes in an easy to use pump bottle and is great value for money!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gentle, affortable and simple I was fortunate enough to have gotten on the trial team for the Dermaveen Daily Nourish Oatmeal Shampoo, and would recommend it to others who want a gentle, soap free shampoo. As this product is hypoallergenic, free of lanolin, parabens, artificial dyes, fragrances, and alcohol, it did live up to my expectations of the product. Like other gentle and similar shampoo products I have used in the past, this product also required me to wash my hair twice, and didn't leave me with that squeaky clean feeling like other harsh shampoos on the market. However given I am a keen and regular user of other sensitive shampoos out on the market this product did meet my expectations, is affordable, and felt soft and gentle on my scalp. As such, I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an affordable, gentle shampoo, that is not harsh on your scalp, and one that is fragrance free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product for sensitive skin! My sister put me onto this product when I said my scalp was itchy and after the first wash I saw a huge improvement!! I do have eczema however I normally don’t get it on my scalp but I have since started to have an itchy scalp. This product is amazing!! It completely stopped my itchy scalp, left my hair soft and clean!! Cleaner than my regular shampoo!! I’m definitely switching to this product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing for eczema Thismshampoo was recommended to me by my chemist after my scalp was constantly flaring up eczema. It would be itchy and painful so this product was an absolute god send. It lathers up quiet well, and you only need a moderate amount. It get rids of excess oil without stripping your hair and making it too clean. My scalp no longer itches and iv not experienced any dry flaky bits since using this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!!! I was lucky enough to be on the Trail team!!! Thank you BH!!! I really loved the pump bottle it comes in as you can get perfect sized portions to use saving money... I also really love that this is paraben free and fragrance free!!! So, it is really great for people (like me) who are sensitive to nasty chemicals and smells... I love how simple it is to use too... You simply apply to the scalp and unlike other shampoos, you leave it on your hair for a few minutes and then rinse out... I wasn't sure about this at first, but I did find it to be really soothing on an irritated scalp... Also, this hardly soaps up, so it doesn't strip the hair of oils making the scalp dry out... It also didn't leave my hair feel heavy or limp... I really loved this shampoo and found it super soothing especially on flair ups... I would highly recommend this one... Especially when teamed with the matching conditioner...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cleansing, great for sensitive scalps I have a very dry sensitive scalp and have really loved trialling this product. It's fragrance-free, quite thick in texture and the 1 litre comes in a hand pump pack. You only need a small amount to get a good lather. After using this shampoo every second day for just a couple of washes I noticed my scalp was no longer itchy or dry. I have long fine hair after using my hair felt silky smooth and easy to brush when wet. Usually, because my hair is so fine that it gets knots very easily but I found using this shampoo it was silky smooth and knot free. What I love about this product besides the effectiveness is the fact it's cruelty-free, hypoallergenic & free of lanolin, parabens, artificial dyes, fragrances & alcohol. For me, I prefer a more natural product that is easy on the skin and this product is perfect for me and it's also great value. Overall a great shampoo and I would definitely buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soothing on the scalp I was fortunate enough to try this shampoo out through the trial team. I am a big fan of other Dermaveen products as they tend to work great on my sensitive skin. The shampoo is honestly very great value for money if you get the jumbo size. The shampoo itself is quite creamy but not too thick. Unlike other shampoos, this one does not foam. Initially when I first used it I was so accustomed to the foaming sensation as the benchmark for being clean that I was not very used to this shampoo. However after using it for the last two weeks, I noticed that my hair is actually clean but not the traditional squeaky clean feeling from other shampoos. I have quite dry skin all over my body and occasional dandruff. After using this for two weeks, my scalp feels more soothed and noticeably has less dandruff. I really enjoy that this shampoo is very nourishing on the hair and keeps it dry for up to 3 days despite the lack of foam.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle everyday shampoo I really enjoy trialing new hair care products so I was excited to test the Dermaveen daily nourish oatmeal shampoo. On first impressions the 1L bottle is huge and has a convenient pump dispenser. The product Itself isn’t strong in scent and smelt almost ‘clinical’ to me. After trialling the Daily Nourish Oatmeal shampoo for a couple of weeks in our household my husband and I had mixed reviews. I personally found the shampoo didn’t lather as much I would like, and I had to use a lot in my long hair to feel like it was properly cleansed, that being said I like to use dry shampoo in between washing and usually have some build up in my hair that requires a double wash. My husband who typically doesn’t use product in his hair LOVED this shampoo as he thought it was quick, gentle on his sensitive skin and lightly scented. He also washes his hair daily after work and this shampoo did the job. Overall a good household staple to have!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! This Dermaveen conditioner is amazing. It is so gentle and hydrating and doesn't weight down my fine, highlighted hair. It cleans well and doesn't leave behind any residue. Free from many irritants (including fragrance). I use it along with the Dermaveen conditioner and they are the only products (and i have tried PLENTY) that have helped my itchy scalp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic for dry hair Love this product! This product is great for dry hair that needs some TLC.<br />My hair felt like new after using this only a few times. It was really dry from being dyed blonde over summer, but now is nice and soft. Definitely one to keep close by when you need to bring some life back to your hair. It felt so silky and smooth after only few washes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great family shampoo My whole family uses this shampoo including my kids. It's a great nourishing shampoo that works well on my kids fine hair without leaving it in a knotted mess. I also have a sensitive scalp and find this shampoo doesn't cause any itchiness or dryness. It foams nicely for a good clean. Highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hair is soft and less frizzy This shampoo was in a large 1 litre bottle which I loved. I look for bigger bottles as it is better value for money. It is worth it to buy the bigger bottles once you know you like the product. The shampoo pumped out of the bottle as a white/pearly colour. It did not really have much of a fragrance to the shampoo. It was a very gentle fragrance, that would be the best way to describe it. I did find I had to use about 4 pumps of the shampoo to get any lather. This is more than I normally use so perhaps it is not supposed to lather up much. Once I used 4 pumps I found the shampoo did produce a good lather making it easy to massage into your scalp. The shampoo rinsed out easily and did not leave any residue in my hair. Once my hair was dry, I found it was very soft and bouncy. It brings life into your hair. My sister also used the shampoo and it enhanced her curls and made her hair less frizzy. I would of recommended this shampoo if it was not for the lathering issue as I ended up using a lot of product for each hair wash.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too clean I'm honestly not impressed with this shampoo which is quite disappointing. I have a dry and flaky scalp so I need a product to target that, but I also have greasy roots and dry ends of my hair. The Dermaveen Daily Nourish Oatmeal Shampoo comes in a huge 1L bottle which is great for someone with hip length hair like myself. There is barely a scent to it, only a slight oatmeal scent so I really hope you like porridge. The colour is pearly white, so great for people with very light hair that tends to pick up colours in hair products. I found that the product was pretty hard to work through my hair. I kept needing to add more product, then more water just to spread it through my hair. Unfortunately this shampoo severely dried out my hair, so much so that wash out conditioner, and leave in conditioner both weren't enough to add any moisture. It definitely helped with my scalp irritation and flakyness though. Which was quite strange since my hair suffered.. Unfortunately I won't be using this product as I just can't deal with hip length desert hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely, simple shampoo I have been using this shampoo for quite a while. I also use the conditioner, but I think the shampoo is vastly superior to the conditioner, which is a shame because I like pairing these things up. I love that it has no scent! I am a huge fan of the 'scentless'. I have an itchy scalp and it really does not like fragrances and too many nasties. So this shampoo ticks some serious boxes with me! When I first used it I was actually very surprised that it lathered up immediately! I usually wear a bit of hair styling product in my hair and with other shampoos that I have used in the past the first application of the shampoo usually did nothing in terms of lathering up, it would only lather up upon second application. With the Dermaveen shampoo it is an instant lather no matter how much product I have used. It lathers into a very dense, almost foam-like consistency. I also have very long hair (past my waist) and it does a great job and thoroughly cleansing my hair without stripping it. It feels clean without feeling 'squeaky'. I was also surprised that I didn't need to use a gallon of the stuff either. (The conditioner is a whole different story...)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Took some time to make it work I have to say that I struggled with this shampoo from the first time I used it. It sounds silly “struggling with shampoo”, when you think it would be one of the easiest things in the world to use. Just wet your hair and lather it in, right? Well, this shampoo takes a little more work to get it to clean your hair. The first time I used it, I thought I hadn’t wet may hair enough before adding the shampoo because I just couldn’t get it to lather up and spread around my scalp. I tried washing the shampoo out and trying again with the shampoo (I usually shampoo my hair twice each time I wash it anyway). The shampoo lathered up a bit better the second time, but I still struggled with spreading it all over my scalp. Th next time I washed my hair I made sure it was really, really wet, and used heaps of the shampoo, just to see if I could make it work better for me – and it did. I got a decent lather that was easier to massage around my scalp and left my hair feeling clean. So I’ve persisted with this method for the past few weeks and it seems to be working ok for me. Overall the shampoo is ok but nothing special and I’ve used other shampoos that are sulphate and paraben free that I have liked a lot more. I’ll probably move this shampoo into my son’s bathroom – they don’t mind what they use.
