I have been using Lucas Paw Paw ointment for years and I wanted to try something different so I bought this one by Sukin. My immediate thoughts are that it is too thick compared to LPP. I mainly use the ointment on my lips, so I like the formula to be light and easy to apply. This ointment is very thick so it's not as glossy as I prefer. I understand this might be better for other uses including cuts, scratches, insect bites, etc. The only great thing about this ointment is that it doesn't contain petroleum- which is a huge plus. If I ever need a paw paw ointment for something other than my lips, this will be my first choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kooshi from Effective but not nice tasting I bought this on sale as I was interested to see what paw paw ointment was like and the many uses that it can have. And a bonus is that I trust the sukin brand. It is a thick ointment and therefore rehydrates the skin well. Well suited to rough, dry areas of skin. But this also means that you can’t lather it on as it doesn’t get absorbed easily and is quite sticky. For example if I apply some to my hands, they stay tacky/sticky for a long time. I have taken to using it as my lip balm before bed and although it is effective, I can’t say that the taste of it is any good. It’s pretty plain as it probably should be and is almost like applying a plain Vaseline ointment to your lips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by May M. from Does the job! This is thicker than your average paw paw ointment and I don't mind because it gets the job done. It comes in a tube and I like to apply it onto my lips which are always dry and come winter they are even more dry, cracked and sensitive. Having this paw paw ointment provides a layer of protection on my lips but also keeps them hydrated. You don't need a whole lot of it and I like that it uses natural ingredients. Also like that it doesn't test on animals and it doesn't contain any animal derived ingredients. I've purchased this full price but I have seen it on promotion as well so it's a bargain!

Rated 4 out of 5 by debbie p. from Protects and hydrates lips This ointment is great for dry chapped lips. I tend to use this mainly on my lips but it can be used on any dry skin. It’s great value and lasts for ages. It has a light scent and is a thickish consistency that is comfortable to wear. This really protects my lips from wind and dry weather and leaves my lips soft and conditioned. The handy tube means I can just throw it in my handbag and use it whenever I feel my skin drying out. It’s very nourishing and hydrating and paw paw products are great for lips. I love the Sukin brand, it’s a trusted brand containing no nasties. This was a winner for me

Even if it wasn't such a lovely gift I think this would still be my favourite Paw Paw treatment as Sukin always impress. It's free from all the nasties, which doesn't always concern me but is an absolute must for Paw Paw. It's very nourishing and does everything you would want it to. I tend to use it as an overnight treatment for my lips and dry patches anywhere on my body including my face. It has worked wonders for particularly my heels, elbows and the rough skin around my nose.

When wearing it as a lip balm it isn't sticky and it feels really rich and thick and conditioning. It can also be used over a lipstick to add a bit of sheen. Sometimes I also have really dry elbows and hands and I'll apply a tiny amount of this to those areas and it absorbs within a few minutes of massaging it in and it softens the skin quite fast. This is definitely a product I would recommend especially to those who have dry cracked lips as this will fix your lips instantly.

I suffer from quite severely dry skin and lips, just recently discovered that my favourite skin care brand Sukin stock their own paw paw ointment and decided to give it a try. This winter has been particular harsh on my hands, especially having to use a lot of sanitiser everyday at work. Using a thin layer of this paw paw cream helps stop my skin from cracking and bleeding and provides my skin with a moisture barrier and relief from the dry itching and pain associated with super dry knuckles. I have found it has been much more effective then handcream and am super happy with the results. It's great also just to pop a little bit on your lips when they are dry throughout the day to keep them looking nice and refreshed.
