No smudges
I'm not very skilled at makeup application so this is a great little gadget for me. It's easy to use on both upper and lower lashes. It means no mess to wipe off the skin around my eyes when I use this to protect it from wayward mascara. I don't have to be too careful or precise when applying mascara now, holding this against the skin directly below or above my lashline I just swipe mascara on and focus on my eyelashes without having to worry about smudges on my skin. I hold it in place for a few seconds until my mascara is dry and I know it won't tranfer to my skin , then I have nice defined eyelashes and no smudges.

I'm sure everyone finds really annoying a smudging mascara and ruining the makeup, especially in the morning when there is no time to waste really.
I found this little lash guard a bit tricky to use. It will make the whole process longer, it will allow less mascara to go on the eyelashes. So I will have to apply a second coat. It also depends what shape the brush has, a straight one doesn't work the best, I found the curved one is better.
I think this product will be easier to use if it will thinner at the end that goes on the eyelid.
The texture is good , it feels really soft on the skin.

Very hand little tool.
This is a very handy little tool. I must admit it is much better than it’s cheaper counter parts out there. I have had similar designs E.g. from the dollar store or discount chemist. But this Manicare one is much better than all of them. This is mostly due to its unique material. It’s made of a soft rubber or silicone combination, as such it is pleasant and not at all uncomfortable to hold against the skin around the eye when applying mascara. The other models I’ve tried are all to rigid and do not conform to the contours of the eye when I use them. I don’t use this everyday as often I’m in a rush to get out the door, however if I’m going for a high impact look and I want to layer mascara - this is exactly what I need to make high impact lashes without potentially messing up my eyeshadow.

Great product
I've been looking for a product that will help me in my application of mascara on my lower lashes so that I don't end up with product all over my under eye area. This product works well in protecting the under eye area and is soft to the touch. Also, because it is made from silicone, it is super to clean. I just give it a wipe with some make up remover solution and a cotton pad and once in a while, give it a wash with water and soap. Highly recommend for anyone who struggles with under eye smudging during mascara application.

great for me with short lashes
I bought this in the Rewards Room as it looked interesting and I just wanted to see how it actually worked.
Something that I can never do is put my eye shadows on and then finish with mascara because having such short, sparse, light eyelashes, majority of the mascara ends up on the eye shadow and then disaster hits. It's been that way since my teens so it's always mascara first for me. I will admit I am now nearly 65 too so am totally jealous when I see videos of people applying their mascara after applying their eye shadows.
This lash guard is made of Silicone and is very light, flexible. Easy to hold.
I practiced first to see how to do it all and once I worked that out, it was apply my eye shadows and attempt mascara using the guard.
Now there isn't much with my lower lashes until you actually coat them with the mascara and think, gee I do have something there.
I placed the lash guard just under my lower lashes and voila....mascara was applied effortlessly.
Now for the bigger test of applying to my upper lashes. Once I got the guard in position, I have no idea where my short, light eyelashes are so I just swiped the mascara on which does hit the lash guard. I gently removed the guard gently away from my eye and OMG...mascara on my lashes and no smears or smudges on my eye shadow.
For people that do have difficulties with applying mascara after applying eyeshadow, I would highly recommend this cute little product.

After every use, I did wipe the lash guard with some of my alcohol free make-up remover which they do suggest.
I am no glad I did buy this little unusual tool in the Rewards Room now as it has helped me. It was just good to see no mess above my eyes. Mascara was applied flawlessly for sure.

No Smudges!
I'm not very skilled at makeup application and this handy little gadget is great. You simply hold it under your lower lashes and apply mascara, I hold it against my skin for a few seconds before removing it. I find it especially good when using a mascara that doesn't dry straightaway. It saves the time and hassle of trying to remove flecks of mascara from under my eyes. It can also be used on upper lashes but doesn't sit as close to the skin.
This isn't expensive and is well worth buying in my opinion.
