Disappointed and dissatisfied
I bought this a couple of weeks ago. Left my scalp super itchy, flaky and dry. My hair was also sooo dry as it was stripped of all its natural oil that I could not brush it!! I had been using A'Kin/Alchemy products for years and years! They have changed the packaging and the ingredients a couple of times and this time, for the worst!! Will not be a returning customer unfortunately. I had to resort to using what I had left over from the small travel bottles that I had filled up when i went away in Oct of the Mild and Gentle shampoo and conditioner from the old range. Now I have to go in search of a whole new product.

Excellent for Sensitive Scalps.
I’ve been using this A’Kin Sensitive Care Shampoo for a couple of weeks. I love that it’s light, fragrance-free & 100% Vegan, and approved by Dermatologists.
I decided to try this shampoo due to my sensitive scalp which is often prone to itchiness especially when the shampoo contains lots of additives or artificial fragrances. I found it gentle on my scalp, the bottle simple to use with a squeeze out cap, which dispenses just the right amount and it actually made my hair feel light, soft and luxurious!
It added volume but didn't weigh it down or get oily the next day despite the hot, humid weather.

My hair felt so clean!
I'm a very busy mum of 2 teenagers who struggles with lots of hair, its very long and thick and I often struggle with an itchy scalp, and finding time to wash my hair!
I usually wash once a week, so I want a product that can really help my hair stay clean and fresh.
I have been using Akin sensitive care shampoo 4 times now and I love the feeling of clean..my scalp doesn't feel as itchy, and it doesn't dry my hair like other shampoos. The scent is soft, the only issue is lack of lather, but I just add a bit more water and it lathers better. Very happy with this product! I received this product from A'Kin to review.

Problematic Formula Change
So unhappy about the discontinuation of A’kin’s previous fragrance-free shampoo. I had used it very very happily for several years, and it was frequently one of the most popular recommendations in Australian chemical-sensitivity forums & support groups, especially as it still left the hair in nice condition unlike many fragrance-free options, however this new formula is too perfumed and triggering. Sadly I’m not the only one with this complaint. Now that I’m finally running out of the previous formula, I will have to begin the stressful search for a new shampoo.

Miracle shampoo
For the past 3 years I have suffered from a flaky itchy scalp and tried all manner of shampoos and products, including castor oil and very expensive scalp treatments. None of them worked and I found some of the more expensive scalp care shampoos made my scalp worse. One top brand even caused a severe reaction. I was honestly at my wits end and had just about given up trying to fix my dry flaky unsightly itchy scalp. I thought I would just have to live with it. That was until I tried A'kin sensitive care shampoo and conditioner. After the first wash I noticed a difference as there was no itching and after the second wash the dry flaky scalp had ceased. I couldn't believe it! I now buy these products in bulk so that I never run out. If you have a sensitive and flaky scalp this is the product for you. A huge thank you to A'kin for making such a fantastic product that has given me back my confidence.

Gentle and leaves hair soft.
Initially I thought this shampoo was wonderful, it left my hair soft and shiny. It was so gentle that it didn't strip colour out of my hair. However, I found after a week or more that using this in combination with the conditioner either the fact it was so gentle, or unscented, left my scalp smelling a bit greasy/sweaty rather than clean. For that reason, every few washes I have found I need to switch to a different shampoo just once. Having said that, if you scalp is more sensitive than mine I would certainly give this a go despite that fact. I received this product from A'Kin to review

Soothing Care for Your Sensitive Scalp
Although I don't have a sensitive scalp I was happy to trial this product I received from A'kin to review.
This product uses natural and nourishing ingredients that are free from harsh chemicals and fragrances.
I like how when using the shampoo, how it lathered up easily with just a small amount, making it a cost effective choice.
The design of the bottle make it easy to dispense and the labelling on the bottle is quite attractive from the colours. There is comprehensive information on the bottle about the product which is good for the customer to make an informed choice
Even though the product was not suited to my hair as it left it feeling abit dry it is perfect for those with sensitive scalps.S

Healthiest and best shampoo ever.
Love this product and was devastated that A’kin was no longer being sold at retail outlets as I need a fragrance free shampoo. So relieved that McPherson’s have taken it over.
