Tolérance Control Skin Recovery BalmI love having a small tube of this on hand! For the past two weeks I have used this product to treat the skin on a healing cut. It has been wonderful in soothing & hydrating the skin and encouraging healing. I've noticed that the recovery balm has also helped to reduce the dark spots/scarring that I get when I have a cut, which is awesome! The formula itself is thick, and gentle which makes it suitable for all parts of the body and for those with sensitive skin. One down-side is that its price range is on the higher end.

Contains Postbiotics, soothing.I have received this product in the last Rewards Room. Have ordered the Balm but have received the tube that has same name except last word is "cream". Tube pump mechanism is really good and hygienic. Cream lightweight. It is so soothing and feels quenching. I have used moisturizers from Avene before and this one is really good too! I use acids and retinols o a regular basis. My skin is in need of soothing and hydrating products. This formula is so simple but so good to soothe and hydrate. Not feeling greasy or looking shiny on my combo to oily skin. Love that makes my skin look healthy and does not sting my eyes as I do apply it all over (my eye and lip areas too). Cream is great for irritated sensitive skin or just skin in need of something lightweight but hydrating and quenching.

Help, winter has dried me out!Alright, my skin behaves most of the time, but every now and then — especially when the weather turns icy or I’ve overdone it with active ingredients — it throws a bit of a tantrum. That’s when I turn to the Avène Tolérance Control Skin Recovery Balm, and honestly, it’s become my go-to for those “do less” skin days.
Compared to the cream, the balm is definitely richer — more of a cocooning texture that feels instantly comforting as soon as you put it on. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy though, just deeply hydrating and protective. I use it mostly at night, and by morning any dryness or irritation is visibly toned down, and my skin feels plump and settled again.
The formula is beautifully minimal — no fragrance, no alcohol, no preservatives — which is exactly what I need when my skin’s feeling touchy. It’s also packed with Avène’s thermal spring water, which I used to think was a bit of a gimmick, but it really does seem to calm inflammation and bring things back into balance.
Bonus points for the sterile pump packaging, which keeps everything super hygienic — especially important when your skin is feeling reactive.
If your skin needs a proper comfort product — something to wrap it up and calm it down — this balm is gold. I wouldn’t use it every day in warmer months, but when the cold hits or my barrier’s struggling, it’s a total skin-saver.
