Mixing Guide
- Always wash your hands before preparing food for your baby.
- For each tablespoon of cereal, add 2 tablespoons of cooled, boiled water, breast milk, or formula. Breast milk contains enzymes that make the cereal 'watery'. This is perfectly safe to use.
- Mix to a smooth consistency. Mash out any small lumps with the back of a spoon.
- Gradually increase amount given and thickness of the cereal over time, depending on your baby's appetite. Always check the temperature is safe before serving.
- Use contents within 28 days of opening.
- Always store with seal closed, in a cool dry place
- Not recommended for infants under the age of 4 months
- Make sure your baby is seated in an upright position to serve
- Do not leave your baby unattended

Baby rice cereal
This was the first product I purchased when we started solids. I started of with mixing with a small amount of breast milk.. my bub didnt really like to eat it that way (probably more so because she was still getting used to food) so we tried again a week later mixed in with a bit of pureed veggies. I think its best mixed with other food as it is pretty bland on its on. It comes in a huge bag but only lasts 28 days from opening and with only using a small amount each serving I ended having to throw half the bag away when It came to the used by date.
I still think its a good option to add to pureed food to add abit more to fill baby up.

Not quite as good as Others
I got this as an option for my son for breakfast when we first started him on solids. I like that the Bellamy's brand is organic and this cereal contains no nasties which is good for little bellies. My son didn't take to it no matter how much we tried, he seems to prefer the Rafferty's cereals and to be honest so do I. With saying that it is a really good product and definitely one of the better ones on the market. We will continue to try to see if bub will eventually take to it.

Tried and Loved
After doing a lot of personal research based on the following criteria, we found Bellamy's Organic Iron Fortified Cereal for 4 months plus the ideal solution for our baby when starting solids. The criteria we decided to work on was that
1. We wanted low to no sugar
2. We wanted a cereal that had no unnecessary additional ingredients
3. We wanted an Australian product with the bulk of ingredients sourced in Australia. This cereal was the best option to comply with the criteria we had set. Baby loved it in time after plenty of exposure to this food.

I bought this for my grandson to help with his immune system he was always getting sick and this was a really great option to feed his little body with probiotics to help in the future. It's full of really good ingredients and you can also add other extras into it for them if they get a little bored with it

My baby usually likes the Bellamy's products however really disliked the organic rice cereal. It didnt matter if I mixed it with water, formula or breastmilk, it was completely refused each time. After trying it myself, it is extremely bland tasting so I guess it just isnt for everyone. Wont be buying again.

Not "proper" iron
I would not recommend feeding bub solids before six months as their digestive system is not ready and these iron fortified cereals are not actually good for little tummies. I found out after I gave bub a few bowls for breakfast- i added coconut shavings for flavour but she did not love it.

Probiotics for the win!
So i got this as one of the first meals that i gave to my little one alongside the oats and porridge and found it great, what was a bonus as well is that it has probiotics in it. I didn't think that there were any products out there with probiotics. It's really great that it has it, however i found that my little one didn't take to the taste very well. Not too sure whether it was because of the probiotics, but definitely not a favourite in taste, but a favourite for probiotics.

First food
Tried this as a very first food for my little one. He seemed to enjoy it. It can be made up to the consistency you desire based on baby's age. So you can start with it a bit thinner and runnier and then gradually make it thicker once bubs is getting used to thicker textures. The only thing is bub moved on from this stage quite quickly so we ended up not using the whole packet. I ended up adding it to pancakes etc to use it up. It's a good source of iron for little one.
