Best thing ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This should be a must have for all first time Mums.
The maternal and health midwife actually recommended that I get the nipple Shields I had major issues with my nipples they were cracked really hurt and she told me I'd be better off to weather shields to let them heal a little bit to give them a little bit kindness. I'm really glad I listened because they really did help if I was going through this all over again or when the time comes I'll make sure that I actually have nipple shields in my bag Because I never want to go through the same pain that I went through the first time round.

The reason why I breastfeed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly think without those shields my daughter would have been bottlefed.They helped me in many different ways,at the start because my nipples were really sore and they helped easing the pain.Afterwards they helped me as my daughter only wanted -still does- to eat with them.The only anoying thing is that yoi need to wash them and sterilize them after every use,but i love them.My baby girl wants only the medela ones,in particular size large (as they come also in small and medium size).A bit pricey but totally worth it,especially if you think about the amount of money you would spend for formula.

Life saver!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I knew about these before having my baby. I struggled so much at the start of my breastfeeding journey. Getting bub to latch with an inverted nipple was challenging to put it lightly. After seeing a lactation consultant, she suggested I try these. What a life saver! He latched straight away to the shield and I wasn’t in any pain like before. I had days where my nipples were so sore and cracked that I was scared to feed him because of the pain, but with these it helped so much. I have spoken to girlfriends about their nipples and suggested them to my friends to hopefully help them avoid the issues I had.

A life saver!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given a nipple shield in hospital as I was having trouble feeding. It helped so much! My nipples became extremely sore and I saw a lactation consultant who advised I discontinue using the nipple shields as it may be causing friction. I lasted 3 days without it and cried through every feed. I started using the nipple shield again and haven't looked back. Still at 10 months old I'm using this product. I have 3 of them so I always have a clean or spare one. I think at the time I thought it was expensive but for the relief it bought I would have paid 4 times that amount!

Helped me to start feeding again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were so great when it came to helping baby latch while I was breastfeeding because I had flat nipples. A lactation lady at the hospital showed me how to use these and said you only needed to wash them in hot soapy water. I bought a few cases and had them in my nappy bag and near my feeding chair. If it wasn't for these I doubt my breastfeeding journey would have continued. I'd recommend these to mums who are struggling to feed or who's baby's are not latching properly as they provide a good nipple shape. They come in a nice little plastic case too for easy storage

Essential aid at the beginning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I need to, I will use these again. My bub was born at 37 weeks and we found it a struggle to breast feed in the beginning my midwife offered a nipple shield it worked but was too big. After researching, I decided to try the medela ones out I brought both sizes. I did try the smaller ones which were a good fit. However, due to bub learning o latch and my nipples getting used to it it was painful. So I used the bigger size, which got me through a few weeks. I'll add they are super easy to clean and are durable as they are still in the same condition as I brought them.

Saved my BF journey
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a 5 week premature bub breast feeding was difficult from the very beginning. I was adamant I wanted to continue despite having extremely sore nipples from a poor latch, the lactation consultant in the hospital provided me with the Medela breast shield in a size 24 and it instantly made a huge difference to my pain levels and my babies latch. The material is flexible and easy to apply to the breast/nipple. I loved the storage container so I could keep tabs on the shield at all times, this was a huge factor in the success of my breast feeding and without it I would have definitely not continued for over 12 months.

Helped with my nipple pain
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a little trouble but not huge breast feeding, I had nipple scabs because my daughter wouldn’t latch properly so it helped keep a slight barrier to my nipple aswell as help my daughter latch a lot easier. I only breast fed for 8 days but I used it since day 2 of giving birth.
I’ve kept it for my 2nd baby, and I’d recommend all mums packing one in their hospital bag just incase they have any trouble breast feeding.
Luckily the hospital I was at gave me ours for free which was fantastic.
I also used the medela nipple balm aswell. Great company products
